Khabarovsk

Khabarovsk se encuentra en la confluencia de los ríos Amur y Ussuri. La ciudad está situada a 30 km de la frontera con China. El río Amur es una frontera natural entre Rusia y China. Khabarovsk con sus 600 000 habitantes es la segunda ciudad más grande en el extremo oriente de Rusia después de Vladivostok. Además, la ciudad ha convertido en el centro administrativo del Distrito Federal del Lejano Oriente de Rusia. Está a 8533 kilometros de distancia en ferrocarril Transiberiano desde Moscú y sólo a un corto viaje en barco de motor de China.

Khabarovsk

Khabarovsk es bastante joven, puesto que tiene sólo 142 años de antigüedad. La ciudad fue nombrada por el explorador ruso Yerofey Khabarov. Originalmente en el lugar de Khabarovsk los rusos fundaron el puesto militar de Khabarovka (Khabarovsk). El mismo más adelante se convirtió en un importante centro industrial para la región. El 31 de mayo de 1858 es considerada como la fecha de fundación de la ciudad.

Los primeros edificios en Khabarovsk fueron los de los militares. Pero sólo unos pocos años más tarde las casas, tiendas, almacenes se construyeron en la ciudad. Debido a su ventajosa ubicación geográfica, Khabarovsk se desarrolló muy rápido. Tiene suelo fértil, pescado y comercio de pieles, tales cosas atrajeron a gente emprendedora a la ciudad. Para los viajeros que han tomado la ruta Transiberiana, esta "parada" es interesante, en primer lugar por su hermosa naturaleza y cercanía a China.
