Excursion begins on the territory of the Pskov’s Kremlin: the historical and architectural centre of town. It houses the Trinity Cathedral, the symbol of old and modern Pskov, erected in the 17th century. Another famous landmark of the Kremlin is “Dovmontov town” – the remains of the ancient settlement of the XIII century. After the Kremlin you will see medieval churches, streets and monuments of modern Pskov.

This sightseeng tour includes excursion to the Mirozhsky monastery: one of the oldest existing historic heritages of Pskov. At the Mirozhsky Cathedral of the Saviour Transfiguration you will see a unique ensemble of frescos of the XII century. 80% of the frescos, created by Byzantine masters, survived undamaged. The Cathedral is under the UNESCO patronage.

In this tour you will visit two of the most famous sights of the Pskov land – the Izborsk Fortress of the 14^th century and Pskovo-Pechersky Monastery - a medieval fortress on the western outpost of the region. The ancient settlement and the fortress of Izborsk house scenic remains of the Malsky monastery, numerous chapels and unique stone roods of its burial mound. The Pskovo-Pechersky Monastery (or the Pskov Monastery of the Caves) built in the 15^th century is one of the oldest men only monasteries of Russia. The monastery’s architectural ensemble consists of eleven churches of 15-19^th centuries (three of them are located in caves), a big belfry and outbuildings.

During this out-of-town tour you will visit an apiary at a picturesque farmstead situated in the wild forest. It’s a chance to see unique samples of beehives, apiarist's inventory and collection of peasants’ instruments of the XIX-XX century. Excursion to the apiary includes entertainment program with tasting of honey, soaked cranberry, natural wine and tea of curative herbs.

The country estate of the Great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, “Mikhailovskoe” is 120 km from Pskov. Mikhailovskoe is a unique example of a classic Russian manor of the XIX century. Surrounded by extensive park of 200 year-old oaks and lindens the estate stretches along the River Sorot. During the excursion, guests will take a walk around the old park and visit the poet’s house reconstructed in its original form.

The tour is completed with folk show and dinner, cooked in Russian stove.
