CITY TOUR AND EXCURSION TO THE DAZAN

Ivolginsky Dazan is the main Buddhist temple of Russia. Built in 1947 the Dazan is 30 km away from Ulan-Ude. This is the main residence of Central Ecclesiastical Directorate of Russian Buddhists. Once there you might be allowed to talk to lama. If you practice meditation, you will enjoy being there at the time of ritual service and mantras readings.

INTRODUCTION TO THE BURYAT CULTURE

Visit a Buryat village! Here you will be met at the gate of the Buryat farmstead where you will see a traditional Buryat dwelling—a jurt, as well as intertained by the Buryat folklore, learn about the culture of the Buryats, their traditions and ceremonies. Within the jurt you will sample traditional Buryat cuisine: salamat, noodle soup, posy, fish, pine nuts. On your request, a ram can be cooked in traditional Buryat way. After this astounding supper you will be offered to try yourself in archery, the traditional buryat sport.

1-DAY TOUR TO THE TRANSBAIKAL

This tour is an excursion to the ethnographic museum of Transbaikal (or Dauria), a mountainous region to the east of the Lake Baikal. You will be introduced to the history and culture of the region, listen to old folk songs and play traditional games. You will also visit a village of Old Believers, where at the traditional wooden house you will see some unique house utilities and appliances. There you will be served traditional dishes: Russian borsch, boiled potatoes fried with suet, pickled mushrooms, sour cabbage, cranberry pie, etc.

1-DAY TOUR TO DELTA OF THE RIVER SELENGA

The delta of the River Selenga is one of the main ornithological institutions of the Eastern Siberia. This extremely picturesque area is over 600 kilometers long and offers various rare examples of flora and fauna.
